Sport betting website favours Web Marketing Group

TakeSport, one of the UK's most prominent sport betting websites is increasing its winnings by teaming up with the Web Marketing Group.

TakeSport is a free sports betting magazine, available on the newsstand and, more importantly, online. The Web Marketing Group has been publishing TakeSport since its launch in early 2006, producing a new 64-page edition every week, in addition to designing the accompanying website, which has up-to-date news and comment on a wide range of sporting issues.

 

WebMag boosts revenues

 

Publisher Chris Akers is delighted both with the WebMags product and the way that the Web Marketing Group has approached the whole project.

 

The design and development team, says Akers, is ahead of the competition when it comes to visualising what will work and how to turn ideas into fully-functioning software: “TakeSport is a busy, editorial-heavy publication,” he comments. “The team at the Web Marketing Group takes our content and turn it into a user-friendly online magazine that has proved really popular with readers – largely because it looks and works in exactly the same way as the printed version. It downloads quickly, uses page-turn technology as well as browse and search, and provides valuable links to advertisers’ own websites. It’s a fantastic product and publishers of all sizes should seriously consider giving it a try.”

 

The beauty of the WebMags product over others, Akers commented, is that it is built on the core marketing strategies of attracting new subscriber and advertiser revenue, whilst producing a usable, attractive online reading experience.

 

Promoting brand consistency

 

The website reflects the fast-moving sports sector, with natural navigation, news headlines, marketing calls to action and a full guide to national and international sports: “Consistency is the key to the success of a new brand,” states Akers, “so using the Web Marketing Group for the website design and development as well as the WebMag allowed us to stamp our brand on the market and develop it through links between the two products. The site is constantly updated with our latest publications, sports headlines and new competitions. We would have had difficulty getting this level of expertise and flexibility across our online solutions with any other new media company.”
